For your purpose to materialize and motivate you, it should align with your personal values. When your values are not aligned with your purpose, you won’t take the necessary action and make changes.
Alignment between your intentions, thoughts, emotions and actions is critical to your success. When these aspects are in harmony, you can be assured that your desired result will manifest.
People intend on doing something about changing their lives, they think and feel about a desired reality, but usually don’t take the appropriate action required to bring about the desired experience into their reality.
Fear as an example
Let’s use fear as an example of what may be preventing someone from acting with confidence to achieve a desired result. Fear based thinking (or conditioning) is evident through the hoping, wishing and wanting a desired experience. The coaching process facilitates the identification of an individual’s fear(s) and provides a safe space for that individual to view their fear from a different perspective (from the present moment) and not from the perspective that the fear was created (from the past moment).
It is in the shifting of one’s viewpoint of their perceived fear that actually clears away the presenting limitation. More precisely, it is the meaning that was originally applied to an event or experience by the individual, either consciously or unconsciously, that actually changes. From this increased awareness, different choices can be made with ease.
Face it
A great deal of energy is invested in fear based thinking. Once fear is released, and attention is freed up, the corresponding energy which kept the fear in place can be directed elsewhere - towards supportive beliefs, positive thoughts and deliberate actions! Usually an individual feels much lighter within themselves after they release fear: this is a sure sign that the individual has gained relief from inner contradiction and has de-energised the fear based thought.
Ask yourself the following questions:
- If you could, what is the ONE behaviour or habit that you would relinquish today?
- If you could, you would ____________?
- What are you believing right now about your ability to __________?
- What are you tolerating right now?
- What do you believe about taking your business idea or leadership to the next level?
- What do you believe about your ability to generate wealth or gain financial freedom?
- What ONE habit or action were you to embrace it today, would transform your life?
- What one key habit DOES NOT support you in your life or business today?
We live in a sea of pure potentiality. In each and every moment we have the power to choose our thoughts and create our next experience. The quality of our intentions, thoughts, emotions and actions is paramount in achieving our desired results. Don’t get caught up in the popular oversimplification of ‘we create our reality thinking’. There is far more to it than that! Prepare for honest self examination, recast your identity and shift beyond the boundaries of your comfort zone to discover the power of consciously creating your experiences.

Something to consider
Each moment we have over 2 million pieces of information coming at us. We manage to process a total of 132 bits of information, or 7 plus or minus 2 chunks (George A Miller, 1956). Stop for a moment and consider all the information surrounding you right now – what can you see, hear, feel, analyse, touch? What colours, sounds, feelings, thoughts, etc are you experiencing?
Our human brains are limited in the ability to process data: 7 plus or minus pieces of information out of the 2 milion pieces of information, is what we will accept and focus on in any given moment. The rest of the information is deleted. The information that is accepted is then organized and assimilated according to an individual’s existing belief structure (conditioning).
The mind will associate the new information with something it can relate it to in an individual’s existing map of the world, i.e.: their view of the world. Therefore, we experience the world through our individual filters (our emotions, beliefs, expectations, etc), i.e.: according to who we are, and not as it actually is…
